Pure innovation from British drum manufacturers Flint Percussion. From it's origins in the pipe band world and born from a determination to improve the weight, resonance and feel of those drums, Flint produced the UKs first truly effective suspended shell system, unhindered by hardware or heavy baskets to support the hoops.
Moving on to the drum kit, the Flint team produced Jimmy Brown of UB40s 'forever snare drum' as a piccolo with an inimitable reggae sound. The signature Flint system lets the shell breathe with its unique 12 lug, two piece system which incorporates a bottom die cast hoop with integral tubes, strainer and Puresound Blaster wires, and the top die cast hoop, tensioned with traditional rods, with no need for heavy central baskets.
